Tucked away on the North side of the island of Utila is where you’ll find the quiet, and somewhat undisturbed Pumpkin Hill Cove. A long-time hidden local gem, Pumpkin Hill is home to Utila’s largest peak (most visible from the sea). This special cove and beach that surrounds this area is well known for turtle nesting. Get here before it’s discovered, but promise to keep it the way you found it, if not better.

Although technically secluded, this place is the perfect après-night-out place we all want to be. Coral Beach “Neptunes” inspires that bubbly, uncontrollably cool energy we all feel when we know something good is about to occur to us: like catching a glimpse of our latest crush, OR, that un-explainably good feeling of relishing that immaculately fine, spicy margarita the staff has left table side, whilst we were pretending to read our novel. .. Few things in this life are as good and wholesome as a day spent on unadulterated Water Cay. From the palm leaves gentle sway, to the smell of the ocean spray, every memory I have of this place stirs bliss. You’ll want to remember all the essentials, and perhaps extra snacks. Or maybe you’ll even get lucky and meet a group of locals putting on a traditional hog fry or Bando; a traditional, coconut based fish stew loaded with all the favorites: Chattas, seafood, yams, mmmmm! All cooked to the tune of island music in the best setting imaginable: Perfect, unadulterated Water Cay.
