Why is swimming healthy for you?

Daily, or even weekly swimming is a great way to keep stress at bay. Not only is it a full body workout, swimming is also a perfect low-impact activity we can all partake in. It will leave you feeling energized, and calm.

Why is swimwear made from synthetics?

Swimwear is made from knitted synthetics because it’s quick drying, has the ability to stretch and doesn’t retain water (Have you ever tried swimming in cotton?).

Where are Stela Onda's bathing suits made and by whom?

All swimwear found on the e-shop platform are draped, sized, cut, stitched and hand-finished by founder, Tempy Keller, at her studio in Lewiston, Maine, USA.

Before we set any piece into production, it first goes through approximately 3-6 iterations, taking into account ease and fit.

Are you an Exclusively Online Boutique?

Yes. For the moment we are, however, we do plan to implement a physical location both in Lewiston, Maine, and Utila, Honduras. Stay tuned!

What should I expect once I've placed an order through your e-boutique?

You will immediately receive an email confirming your purchase. We will then get your order processed (1-5) business days, and follow up with an email containing your shipment details, such as tracking and when to expect delivery.

*We do not process orders on Saturdays and Sundays.

1.2 Stela Onda Swimwear is hand cut, stitched and packaged in The United States of America, by adults, at a safe, inspiring location.

Our notions (ie. our latex rubber elastics, thread, gold & silver hardware) come from B CORP certified manufacturers.

Each suit is made one-at-a-time, and never mass produced.

Most Stela Onda swimwear fabrics are STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. You may view your IMPACT here.

We use premium, natural embellishments ( ie our swimwear does not contain plastic notions of any kind, such as buttons, adjusters, or closure hooks).

How do I repair my bathing suit if something goes wrong?

We’re glad you asked. We repair Stela Onda garments up to 2 years after purchase.

How should I care for my swimwear?

To keep your swimwear in perfect condition, Please follow these easy garment care recommendations:

Never fold or iron your swimwear. Hand wash in cool fresh water using a natural, Castile soap, and lay flat to dry, out of direct sunlight.
Avoid sitting on rough surfaces as this causes “pilling.”
